Not satisifed with the fact that our long awaited first album is now in our hands and waiting in stockrooms to be unleashed on the world we started demoing the first few tracks for our next release today.
"the clarence sessions", as we have dubbed them, will take place over the next few months or so until we've built up the next batch of ear-assaulters.
I don't think that we've ever had such a relaxed recording sesh before, and i think it will show in the end result - fat, nasty, and groovy!! our own recording dungeon, where rachel is now locked permanently, living on lidl coleslaw and paracticing her paradidles ;)
the eagle eyed will see the familiar rss icon on blogs and gigs now, i finally remembered to flick the switch ;) the gigs feed ain't going to be mad with activity for a wee while as we're heads down and in writing mode, but keep 'em peeled for the odd show.. however, we are waiting for news on some exciting gigs, both on these shores and elsewhere, so you can keep your fingers crossed as well!!!
the album has got a concrete release date of september 14th which you'll be able to get in olde world physical format as well as from the digital realm.
expect some new tunage from our rehearsals to appear on our myspace, and here, over the next couple of weeks, we're capturing them at the weekend.. it'll be a busy one as brigit and I are off to edinburgh to see future of the left, who by all accounts are fookin awesome, we'll update ya next week..
cheers kids, over and out.
just as I make the final touches to the website I visit a conference on the future of new media to find that blogging, emailing and websites are soon to be an archaic thing of the past. well, that may be an *extreme* version of what some boffins are saying, but hey - how do you keep up with the kids nowadays?.. to asuage Loki's fears of being outmoded before the first visitor grabs some loki type html there's a twitter link over there on the right of the page, hah, stick that in your pipe berners-lee
